person,
but we guess his feelings for us. A face must be read. A
novel
written on the resemblance between corpse and sleeper on the beach...
I tried the solution of

Edward, using the phenomenon of the reversed picture. Hardly possible
with
real model! Betty risks to create artificial
fast-copiers...
I have better results in portrait with my magic square because it is
necessary
to catch living expressions in two minutes.

The phenomenon of the reversed face should be studied with other
phenomena
known by painters. (1) light seen coming from the left top. (2) the phenomenon of the "hot" and "cold" colours. The Joconde "didn't turn yellow", (see her copy at the Prado): Leonardo understood that the "hotter" colour was not red but reddish orange, colour of the sun. And he painted his Monna with it, obtaining her projection in the space...

Quelles
possibilités d'apport à la psychologie et aux traitements?
Ayant promené mon problème durant 9 ans, je me rappelle
l'inutilité
de mes efforts puisque je ne conservais pas une image une seule
seconde,
(même pour les jolies filles). Tout changea lorsque ma prof de
dessin,
exaspérée par mes questions idiotes, me colla au mur
devant
le Saint Jude de Georges de la Tour, (original au Louvres). Ces quatre
heures passées en serrant les dents comme seul un autiste sait
faire,
sous les regards amusés et dans un silence poli, de la part de
personnes
ayant exposé, fit plus que neuf ans de réflexion...
(nous devrons un jour comprendre que le cerveau droit, lui aussi, se
programme,
(à sa manière!)).
Alors que l'on annonce aux U.S.A, un accroissement des autistes
de
200% en dix ans, il serait bon de savoir quel type a
explosé,
(donc de définir les types!) et de se préoccuper,
(surtout
si ma théorie du topautisme est prouvée), de la part dans
ce phénomènes de la CuniCuliCulture en BabelBanlieues. Moi,
je prétends que nous fabriquons ce genre de "génie en
herbe"
par milliers, avant de les acculer à la "petite
délinquance";
de les abandonner à la police et à la freudouille? Avec
l'aide

Autre problème capital pour tout progrès: utiliser la

règle de l'évolutionnisme: "la Nature fait tout

possible. Dawkins va très loin dans cette voie. C'est
sûrement
applicable au problème des visages. Je pense même que

qui le refuserait se classe "pré-darwinien".
Je me demande si le dessin basic du visage n'est pas une

de schémas simples, comme le triangle, l'ovale...

Par la suite ce progrès fut utilisé pour de nouveaux progrès. Même impression parmi
les "psys". La plupart me rappellent un "consultant" exposant
brillamment
son plan de sauvetage. A la fin, le patron demanda: "Je ne vois pas
comment vous poser mon problème. Dois-je le faire moi-même?"
Le consultant disparut et je me demande encore comment le patron avait
deviné qu'on lui resservait une tarte piquée chez un
concurrent.
J'ai passé 14 ans à essayer de comprendre mon 'cas', sans
autre aide que des 'psys' m'appuyant sur la tête, au mieux me
décernant
des certifs top-top et refusant d'aller plus loin

parmi les acheteurs. Mon réflexe est de froncer le nez.

même que les aveugles par accident continuent de rêver avec
des images. L'auteur semble dire qu'il ne connaît que la

Quoique Mr. Poisson ait été très méchant
pour
Auguste Comte, je tiens comme loi son exigence de 30 sujets comme
minimum d'une population. Sinon, que pourrons-nous dire des

Je pense que tout le monde devine et se trompe. Lorsque je me rends à un bureau, je ne sais quelle figure je vais voir, (une idée de "masse"). Même la barbe ou les lunettes m'échappent. Dès que je rentre, j'ai l'impression d'avoir toujours connu mon interlocuteur. Prendrais-je la première photo pour un souvenir revenu de loin? |

Les
animaux supérieurs distinguent leurs "dominants"; par les
visages?
"à la prosopamnésienne"? juste les expressions? Leur
odorat
et ouie, beaucoup plus prononcés, suffisent peut-être. De
plus, il y a certainement un phénomène transmission de
pensée,
que l'homme a perdu, (sauf quelques vraies "voyantes"). Il faudrait
imaginer
des tests "en aveugle".
Mais nous avons
peut-être hérité le phénomène du
visage
inversé, (utilisé par Betty): le chat ne distingue pas
les
rats ou les chiens les uns des autres mais un visage doit être
lu:
debout, c'est 'à manger' ou 'mangeur'? (food or foe?);
couché,
c'est mangeable... Un roman fut écrit sur la ressemblance
cadavre
et dormeur...
J'ai
essayé
la solution de Betty Edwards, le modèle inversé.
Guère
utilisable avec modèle réel! Betty risque de
fabriquer
des fast-copieurs, artificiels... J'ai de meilleurs résultats en
portrait avec mon
carré magique car il faut attraper
l'expression
dans les deux minutes.

Moins
que sûr! Foi de prosopautiste, ayant appartenu à la
"Société
de Morphopsychologie", portraitiste amateur ayant examiné chaque
pièce du visage. Pire! étant "nez
bouché" tel que défini par le
Dr.
Michel, et ayant subi toutes les charcuteries inventées pour
guérir
une allergie avec un bistouri, j'ai mis ce gouvernail à
la place de faveur.
Mettre un
nez de clown à la Monna ne démontre rien, pas plus que la
moustache peinte par l'impuissant Duchamp. Mais imaginez une
top-modèle
avec ce pif, (qui sent l'asthme!), dépassé seulement par
ceux
de François 1er, et surtout celui de Moreau
qui
mit Nabot-Lycaon
en selle.
Il existe
des programmes informatiques qui reconstituent une personne en trois
dimensions
à partir de profil et face.

J'ai essayé et considère le dessin de la Joconde de face comme impossible: je pense que le sourire est calculé pour me conduire à l'un des 36 sourires possibles, (sauf le sourire ivrogne, pieux). Ce sourire génial, reproduit des deux cotés, tombe dans le ridicule. Par contre, le dessin de profil semble encore plus impossible, (quoique courant à cette époque). Copier Battista Sforza, le printemps de Boticelli? ou Isabelle d'Este au Louvre, Simonetta à Chantilly? Ce grand nez, de profil, serait insupportable à ceux qui ont gravé la Mona dans leurs esprits, qui la possède chez eux, sur une assiette ou un coussin. |

P.57 "le malade tente de reconstituer comme un puzzle à partir de morceaux, des "pièces détachées". Une telle méthode est vouée à l'échec tant la perception du visage dépend de mécanismes d'intégration globale... Les performances sont améliorées quand on leur présente des caricatures.
